English: The Kishle's western wing was built in the 1860s. The wing was used as a prison by the British and Jordanians. It stands over Herodian retaining walls and a drainage channel from the foundation of Herod's palace.[1]
It is accessed via the Ramparts Walk's entrance by the moat.
