English: There were once two Watermills in Groenendaal Park, Heemstede. They were both built by Jan Hope of Groenendaal and Bosbeek, who united both properties in 1784 to create a large garden in the English style. One was a windmill, and the other was a steam mill modelled around a Newcomen engine. The park has been split into three parts (Groenendaal Park, Marienheuvel, and Bosbeek) since Jan Hope died.
