  • English: The Washington & Great Falls Electric Railway was incorporated in 1892 and began operation in 1895. The streetcar line ran between Georgetown, Washington, D.C. and Cabin John, Maryland. The company acquired the bankrupt Washington Traction and Electric Company in 1902, and the merged company was renamed as the the Washington Railway and Electric Company. The streetcar line to Cabin John was abandoned in 1960.
