English: "W22" is a Pichi Richi Railway steam locomotive decorated to resemble Silverton Tramway W class locomotive no. W22, which is also owned by the PRR. However, the locomotive is actually the former WAGR W class locomotive no. W916 in disguise. The reason for the change in identity of the locomotive is that the PRR wanted to restore the real W22 to working order, as an example of the locomotives operated by the Silverton Tramway in not-too-distant Broken Hill, NSW, but W916 was in a much better condition, and was therefore a better candidate for such a restoration.
