Saint Theobald leads the life of a young lord of the House of Champagne. After his sudden conversion, he adopts a humble life at the service of his fellow men, travelling on the pilgrimage routes to Compostela and Rome. Illness stopped him in Vicenza on his way to the Holy Land. After his canonization, his brother dispersed part of his body as relics offered to monasteries in the Provins region.
