English: Villu Paatu (or 'Bow Song' as translated in English, Villu means Bow) also known as Villadichampattu and Villuppattu is an ancient form of musical story-telling where narration is interspersed with music, art of South Kerala and Kanyakumari district and in Thovalai of Tamil Nadu.
മലയാളം: തെക്കൻ തിരുവിതാംകൂറിൽ രൂപംകൊണ്ട ഒരു നാടോടികലാരൂപമാണ് വില്ലുപാട്ട്. വില്പാട്ട്, വില്ലടിച്ചാൻപാട്ട്, വില്ലടി, വില്ലുകൊട്ടിപ്പാട്ട് എന്നൊക്കെ ഇതിന് പേരുകളുണ്ട്. അനുഷ്ഠാനമായി രൂപംകൊണ്ട ഈ കലാരൂപം പരിഷ്കാരങ്ങൾക്കു വിധേയമായി വിൽക്കലാമേള എന്ന പേരിൽ കേരളത്തിൽ മുഴുവൻ ഉത്സവങ്ങളോടനുബന്ധിച്ച് ഒരു കലാപരിപാടിയായി അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
தமிழ்: வில்லுப்பாட்டு என்பது தமிழகத்தின் நாட்டார் கலைகளில் ஒன்றாகும். இதை வில்லிசை என்றும் அழைப்பார்கள். வில்லிசை நிகழ்ச்சி கோயில் கொடை அல்லது திருவிழாக்களில் நிகழ்த்தபெறும் ஒன்றாகும். வில்லிசை நிகழ்ச்சியின் போது கடவுளர் கதை அல்லது யாரேனும் ஒருவரைப்பற்றிய கதை அல்லது நிகழ்வு பாடலாகவும் விவரிப்பாகவும் வில்லிசையுடன் நிகழ்த்தப்படும்
