Das Ensemble besteht aus 36 professionellen Musikern aus allen großen Orchestergesellschaften Wiens. Hauptaufführungsorte sind der Festsaal und die Redoutensäle der Wiener Hofburg.
English: The Vienna Hofburg Orchestra is a classical orchestra based in Vienna, Austria. The orchestra was founded by the conductor and trumpeter Gert Hofbauer in 1971 and consists of 36 professional musicians from all large orchestral societies of Vienna. Most of the orchestra's concerts are performed in the Festival Hall and the Redoutensäle of Vienna's Hofburg Imperial Palace.
