English: The Venus of Zaraysk (pit 117) is a 74 mm (2.9 in) high statuette made of mammoth ivory. It is only presumed to be female, because the carving is incomplete. Of the two Upper Paleolithic figurines recovered in 2005, this is the last (and lesser) figurine found in a storage pit (pit 117) at the Zaraysk archaeological site, Moscow Oblast of Russia. Currently, both of the figurines are part of an exhibition at the Zaraysk Kremlin museum.
