English: Winter encampment of the Continental Army during the 1777-1778 Philadelphia Campaign of the American Revolutionary War. The camp was named after the neighboring town of Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. Today the camp cover parts of both Montgomery County and Chester County, Pennsylvania. Much, but not all, of the site of the encampment is preserved as Valley Forge National Historical Park.
