The United States Custom House at 200 Chestnut Street at the corner of S. 2nd Street in the Old City neighborhood of Philadelphia, was built between 1932 and 1934 and was designed by the firm of Ritter & Shay in the Art Deco style; it was the prominent firm's last major project. The building currently houses Federal offices for the Food and Drug Administration, Federal Bureau of Prisons, Passport and Customs Services. The building was rehabilitated in 1991-93 and underwent a major renovation from 2010-2013. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on May 25, 2011, and is located in the Independence National Historical Park Historic District.
