Underwood & Underwood Stereographs of Manufacturing Industries is an Archives Collection from the Science History Institute, an institution for the history of science. Images in the collection were created and sold as a set for educational use by Underwood & Underwood, a maker of stereoscopic images and equipment. This set was produced between 1895, when the educational unit was established, and 1921, when the company was sold. This collection consists of 48 stereographs depicting various stages in the industrial manufacture of glass, steel, iron, and salt.
Topics in the collection are as follows:
