Undecyl compounds are chemical compounds formally derived from undecane, C11H24, by replacement of one of the three hydrogen atoms on the terminal carbon (i.e. carbon #1) with other atoms or functional groups. Undecyl compounds contain the undecyl group, C11H23, and have the general formula C11H23X, where X is any chemical element or group.
