This cave is also called the Samudra-manthan cave or the Amritmanthan cave. This name comes from its lintel that depicts the Vedic legend about the "churning of the ocean". It also has Ganga and Yamuna goddess-related reliefs, and a Sanskrit inscription in Nagari script from the 11th-century.
