Desde de 2013 la Universidad de Lanús "UNLa" lleva adelante un proyecto de fabricación de bandoneones para integrar este instrumento, junto con el material didáctico correspondiente, a las escuelas de la zona. En la actualidad el Proyecto Pichuco esta en su tercera etapa, con bandoneones que se han entregado a escuelas y bibliotecas que dictan talleres. El bandoneón Pichuco es elaborado íntegramente desde la UNLa, excepto por los peines que son importadas de República Checa.^[1]
[In English: Since 2013, the University of Lanús "UNLa" has been carrying out a bandoneon manufacturing project to integrate this instrument, together with the corresponding didactic material, into schools in the area. At present, the Pichuco Project is in its third stage, with bandoneons that have been delivered to schools and libraries that give workshops.
