The Tripura Sundari temple is a 16th-century temple on the right bank of river Beas. It is a large three-storey temple with sweeping beautiful views of the Himalayas. The temple has a square plan for the first and second storeys, then it is conical with a kalasha and chhatra on top. The design is a pleasing composite of wood and stone, and provides a covered pradakshinapatha. The wood is carved with Hindu art. This temple is best studied comparatively with the Hidimba temple in Manali.
