English: The Treasury of Syracuse is the second from the west, number II in the plan. Pausanias calls it the treasury of the Carthaginians, meaning Syracuse. A two-course wall remains around 3 sides of it. The front wall is distinguished by a gable-shaped block resting on and projecting over the front of it. For views along the line of the treasuries it is often hard to distinguish. The overhead views show it clearly.
