English: Metapontion, or Metapontium, or Metapontum, follows Selinus according to Pausanias, which makes it foundation X. It was a relic to Pausanias, the city having been destroyed and abandoned earlier. Near the west end of the terrace, its east wall was separated from the west wall of XI. Other than that wall, not much remains.
