HM Treasury banknotes were issued between 1914 and 1928, and are works created by the United Kingdom Government: they are all in the public domain, because they were issued before 1 August 1989.
Caution: do not confuse treasury notes with banknotes of the Bank of England, as well as Northern Irish and Scottish commercial banks. The copyrights on those notes last for at least 70 years after they first entered circulation. |
