The Transbus Program (1970-79) was an attempt by the Urban Mass Transportation Administration to develop a standardized bus for mass transit in the United States. It failed, but elements from Transbus were incorporated in two Advanced Design Bus designs: the GM RTS and Flxible Metro/870.
