The Town Hall in Singapore was designed by John Bennett of the Chief Engineer's Office and constructed between 1856 and 1862. It was subsequently renamed the Victoria Theatre when the Victoria Memorial Hall (now the Victoria Concert Hall) was built next to it in 1905, and a clock tower constructed in the space between the buildings.
