English: Tortoiseshell cats: cats with brindled coats that have relatively little or no white markings. Those that are largely white with tortoiseshell patches (rather than a brindled aspect) are categorised as tricolor cats. The red or cream parts are always tabby, so only if the black parts are tabby the cat is a tortoiseshell tabby otherwise it is a tortoiseshell. Tabby patterned cats have a distinctive coat marked by stripes, dots, lines, or other patterns.
