English: The Tongariro was a steel Passenger & Cargo vessel and build by J. Elder & Co., Glasgow, yard number 280 for New Zealand Shipping Co., Ltd. Lyttelton, BR. Dimensions:389 × 46 ft (118.5 × 14 m) and 4215 GRT (other sources say 1463 tons[1]). One Quadruple Expansion Steam engine. Sold in 1899 to the British India Steam Navigation Co., Ltd., Glasgow and renamed Zibenghla. 1910 broken up at Bombay.[2]
