English: A number of sculpture ensembles (shendao), marking the tombs of royals and dignitaries of the Liang Dynasty, survive around Nanjing (mostly in Qixia Distict). A typical ensemble includes a pair of qilin or xiezhi beasts, a pair (or, in the case of Xiao Xiu, two pairs) or tortoise-borne stelae, and a pair of round columns.
