Tibetan Flags Temple, McLeod Ganj, India - It's a shrine to the man who instructed HH XIV Dalai as a child, Kyabje Trijhang Rinpoche, surrounded by littles huts of a buddhist monks hermitage, in the middle of the forest between Dharamkot and Naddi. The white structure is an incense burner. Since 2000, there's also a nice stupa nearby, containing the ashes of Geshe Yeshe Topden Rimpoche. No road, no signs, barely a small trail. You will not find the place by yourself, you need the help of a local guide. After a leisurely walk, you'll find yourself in the heart of the forest, where you'll encounter the Tibetan Flag Temple. Its colorful flags flutter in the mountain breeze, adding a touch of vibrancy to the serene surroundings. Upon reaching the Tibetan Flag Temple, you'll discover a small community of monks living in humble meditation huts, deeply connected to their spiritual practice and the natural world around them. You can take a moment to absorb the serenity of this place, meditate, or simply enjoy the breathtaking views of the forested hills.
