Ephesus had three main streets. Arriving from the sea there is the Arcadian Road, named after the emperor Arcadius (r.395-408). It connected the port to the theater. There next was the Marble Street, which was named after the fact that it was paved with marble, it connected Ephesus' Arcadian Street and the Theater to the square where the Street of the Curetes started. That street goes and has many monuments along it.
