English: The 2nd pavilion, counting from the east, in the southern row of the Thirteen Stele Pavilions of the Temple of Confucius, Qufu. This pavilion houses 2 Qing Dynasty tortoise-borne steles, from the reign of the Yongzheng Emperor. Both are dated Year 8 of Yongzheng reign, i.e. 1730. Like all other bixi at Kong Miao, the tortoises are facing south.

The two tortoise-borne steles are as follows:

  • On the left (west): item 100 in the Qing Dynasty section of Luo Chenglie's book, pp. 850-853. 雍正元年册封至圣先师五代王碑 (Cèfēng zhì shèng xiān shī wǔdài wáng bēi). It is 2.95 m tall, 1.1 m wide, 0.9 m thick. The tortoise is ??? m long [there is a typo in the book here], 1.24 m wide, 0.9 m tall.
  • On the right (east): item 113 in the Qing Dynasty section of Luo Chenglie's book, pp. 863-866. 雍正八年重建先师孔子庙碑 (Yōngzhèng bā nián chóngjiàn xiān shī Kǒngzǐ Miào bēi, "Stele of Year 8 of Yongzheng era in memory of reconstruction of the Temple of the First Teacher Confucius"). It is 3.9 m tall, 1.1 m wide, 0.32 m thick.
