During the Greco-Turkish War of 1897-1898, a set of six-sided stamps was issued for use by the Turkish Army during the occupation of the Greek State Thessaly. They were used in 13 cities: Bababogazi, Domakos, Halmiros, Kalabaka, Kardice, Larissa, Phanari, Pharsala, Tournavos, Trikhala, Velestin and Volos.
