Čeština: Choceňský případ se odehrál v noci ze 12. května na 13. května 1949 na letišti v Chocni, když šestice mladých lidí přepadla dvojici na letišti hlídkujících ozbrojených příslušníků Sboru národní bezpečnosti (SNB) s tím, že chtěla ilegálně opustit komunistické Československo ve dvou malých odcizených sportovních letadlech. První trojice mladých mužů odstartovala z letiště prvním letadlem, ale druhá trojice byla ještě před startem druhého stroje přepadena na letištní ploše příslušníkem SNB, který se osvobodil z pout a přímo v kabině z bezprostřední blízkosti zastřelil pilota, jeho přítelkyni a těžce postřelil i třetího člena posádky. První letadlo nedaleko státních hranic v mlze havarovalo, všichni tři z jeho posádky sice vyvázli se zraněními, ale nakonec zatčení neunikli. Zatčen byl i na letištní ploše postřelený člen posádky druhého stroje. V následujícím politickém procesu byli všichni přeživší odsouzeni k vysokým trestům odnětí svobody.

English: The Choceň case took place on the night of 12 May to 13 May 1949 at the airport in Choceň, when six young people ambushed a pair of armed members of the National Security Corps patrolling the airport, claiming that they wanted to illegally leave communist Czechoslovakia in two small stolen sports planes. The first trio of young men took off from the airport in the first plane, but before the second machine could take off, the second trio was ambushed on the tarmac by an SNB member who broke free from his handcuffs and shot the pilot, his girlfriend and a third crew member at point blank range in the cabin. The first plane crashed near the state border in the fog, and all three of its crew escaped with injuries, but ultimately did not escape arrest. The crew member of the second plane who was shot on the tarmac was also arrested. In the ensuing political trial, all the survivors were sentenced to heavy prison terms.
