The Oxford saloon was built in 1890 by Arthur M. Blackman for his grocery business and was originally known as the Blackman Block. It was designed by J.S. White, who designed most of Snohomish's important 19th century buildings. It has operated under various owners as the Oxford Saloon since about 1910.
