English: Of a former temple of Semitic god Hadad, assimilated to the Greek god Zeus or Roman Jupiter, little remains but a propylaeum that would lead to the western outer entrance of the temple. To complicate matters a few arches of a Byzantine arcade of a shopping complex remain also. So what one sees it not the Jupiter temple, which was destroyed to built first a Christian church, then the present mosque.
