Bear hunt during the COVID-19 pandemic in the Netherlands
Teddy bears were being placed in windows in the Netherlands as part of a game - the teddy bear hunt- meant to entertain children (and adults) during the period of coronavirus lockdowns and social distancing. The game is said to have been inspired by the 1989 children’s book “We’re Going on a Bear Hunt,” written by Michael Rosen and illustrated by Helen Oxenbury.
