[edit]- (1935 Hoshino Gakki began to manufacture the stringed instruments in Nagoya)
- (1957 Hoshino Gakki launched the modern-era Ibanez guitars)
- 1962 "Tama Seisakusho Inc." was established to manufacture electric guitars and amplifiers (under the "Star" and "Ibanez" brand).
- 1965 manufacture of drums was started under the name "Star Drums".
- 1966 production of guitars and amps were moved out of the factory.
- (late 1960s-1970 FujiGen began to supply guitars to Ibanez)
- 1974 its drums were started marketing under the "Tama" brand.
- 1981 reorganized as "Hoshino Gakki Mfg. Co., Ltd."
- 2009 merged to Hoshino Gakki Co., Ltd.
