English: Szechwan Lodge No. 112 was founded on 28 January 1936 in Chengtu, the capital of Szechwan. It was granted a charter by the Grand Lodge of the Philippines. After the creation of the Grand Lodge of China on 18 March 1949, the Lodge was transferred and re-chartered with its original name, but was re-numbered as Szechwan Lodge No. 4 (on 28 March 1949). Following the fall of the Mainland China to communism on 1 October 1949, the Lodge was reactivated in Taichung, Taiwan on 29 March 1957, with James David as its first Master (1957–58). Chiang Wei-kuo served as its Master from 1960 to 1962 (source: About 1968-69 MW W.K. Chiang.). It now operates in Taipei. Prior to its relocation to Taiwan, the Lodge had a close relationship with the Protestant Churches in Szechwan. In addition to having its meeting point at the West China Union University founded by Protestant missions, several masters were also missionaries.
