- The one-storey building that once stood here was built by Lipót Beck as a residential house and a shop for spices and colonial goods, based on the plans of Vilmos Kimnach. Year of construction (no.): 1872. Although as a result of later alterations and additions the building has lost its former features, it retains more memories of the eventful past of Hay Square. The multi-storey building in the courtyard of the house, built by Lipót Beck as a grain warehouse, was later used by the cashier training school of the Spice Delicacy Company, the Iron Ware Company and later the ÁPISZ office building, while the two floors were used by the Wrestling Federation. Offices moved into the building owned by District I Council. All but five of the apartments and the pharmacy on groundfloor were privatised. The Arriba restaurant was previously the site of the Meat Butcher Shop, and in 2023 the place will continue to be owned by the municipality. In the place of Raiffeisen Bank there was Spice and Delicacy in 2023, which is also municipal property. It was then that the Iron and Fittings Shop, which had been standing / operating for decades on the site of Hay Square 1/b, was destroyed. The house was damaged again during the 1956 revolution. The five-storey Hay Square 1/b was built. In the 1970s an additional floor was built for the employees of the Ministry of Metallurgy and Mechanical Engineering. In the 1990s, the Coal Pub was opened on groundfloor. Leopold Beck was a printer between 1844 and 1854 in the castle at the State Printing House. In 1849 he guarded the printing house as a popular rebel. By the 1850s, my deer was causing biliary disease. He started trading grain at the Hay Square market, with which he made a fortune. In 1873 (1872?) he built his one-storey house designed by Vilmos Kimnach with his fuss and colonial goods shop. Enriched further, he built two floors on the house in 1895. His son Adolf Beck ran a general store in the house. Adolf Beck ran a busy export company, a land speculator and gambler. He was a member of the Metropolitan Committee for 25 years. Due to the lack of employees and managers, his business was regularly rendered insolvent. - His son, the painter Pál Beck (later Bor), was born and raised in this house. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. - Az egykor itt álló földszintes épületet Kimnach Vilmos tervei alapján Beck Lipót építtette lakóháznak és fűszer- és gyarmatáru boltjának. Építés éve (fsz.-es): 1872. Bár a későbbi átalakítások és ráépítések eredményeként az épület mára elvesztette egykori vonásait, annál több emléket őriz a Széna tér mozgalmas múltjából. A ház udvarában álló többszintes épület melyet Beck Lipót gabonaraktárnak építtett később Fűszer Csemege Vállalat pénztárosképző iskolája, Vasedény Vállalat később ÁPISZ irodaház, két szintjét a Birkozószövetség használta. I. kerületi Tanács tulajdonolta épületbe irodák költöztek. A lakásokat öt kivétellel és fsz-i gyógyszertárat privatizálták. Az Arriba étterem helyén korábban Hús- hentesbolt volt a helység 2023-ban is önkormányzati tulajdon. A Raiffeisen Bank helyén Fűszer és Csemege volt 2023-ban ez is önkormányzati tulajdon. 1945-re súlyosan sérült ház 1945-ös budai kitörési kísérlet során lakhatatlanná vált. Ekkor semmisült meg a Széna tér 1/b helyén évtízedek óta álló/üzemelő Vas és szerelvényüzlet. A ház az 1956-os harcok során ismét megsérült. Felépült az ötemeletes Széna tér 1/b. 1970es években emeletráépítés történt a Kohó- és Gépipari Minisztérium dolgozói részére. Az 1990-es évekbe nyilt meg a Szén Pub intézmény. - Beck Lipót nyomdász volt a 1844 1854 között a várban az Állami Nyomdában. 1849-as népfölkelőként örizta a nyomdát. 1850-es évekre az őlom epebajt okozott. A Széna téripiacon gabonakereskedésbe fogott mellyel vagyonra tett szert. 1873-ban (1872? ) felépíttette Kimnach Vilmos tervezte földszintes házát fúszer és gyarmatárúkereskedésével. Tovább gazdagodva 1895-ben két emeletett építtett a házra. A fia Beck Adolf vegyeskereskedést üzemeltetett a házban. Beck Adolf tőzdézett exportcéget üzemeltettt telekspekuláns és szerencsejátkos. 25 évig fővárosi bizottsági tag volt. Alkalmazottai és üzletvezetői ellnörzés híján az üzletét rendszeresen fizstésképtelenné tették. - Fia Beck (később Bor) Pál festőművész ebben a házben született és nevelkedett párizsban École des Beaux-Arts tanult, szerette a Szána teret az évszakok változást festegetni, /Budapest100 2023.
