The Swiss Garden at Shuttleworth was created between 1824 and 1832. From 1872 James Pulham and Son were hired to construct some new features, like a fern grotto with Pulhamite-lined entrances, a remodeled artificial lake, a Pulhamite-lined boat house and a walkway through to the adjoining property.
