To save £34,500 a year on the park and ride budget, Surrey County Council decided to withdraw the Saturdays-only route 101 at Guildford's local committee meeting on 9 March 2011. The last day of the route was 26 March 2011. Users were directed to alternative sites at Merrow or Artigton, despite these being the other sides of the town to Ladymead.
