English: Sourp Magar (Armenian: Սուրբ Մակար or Magaravank, Մակարավանք) is an Armenian monastery located in a forested valley in the w:Pentadhaktylos range in the Turkish-occupied area of the Republic of Cyprus. Founded in the early eleventh century as a Coptic Orthodox monastery and dedicated to Saint Macarius of Alexandria, the monastery was transferred to the Armenians in Cyprus sometime before 1425.
