English: The term 'sunglint' seems to mostly be used in the context of satellite photography of earth; it most commonly involves reflections from bodies of water, ice, or wet soil. Similar phenomena occur in terrestrial photographs. Sun glitter refers specifically to the reflection of sunlight from water ripples, giving multiple spots of light. There is also a difference of emphasis; the term sunglint is usually used when the pattern of reflections enhances contrast (and for instance helps delineate a natural feature) or shows something not otherwise obvious about the subject. For terrestrial photography to be included in this category it should show something about the subject that is not otherwise apparent. When you add this category to a terrestrial photograph, please add a line to the description pointing out what the sunglint shows. Sunlight reflections from water as compositional elements should be categorized in Category:Sunlight reflections from water.
