English: Street photography in The Netherlands is photography conducted for art or enquiry that features unmediated chance encounters and random incidents within public places in The Netherlands. Street photography is also sometimes called candid photography. The street photographer can be seen as an extension of the flâneur, an observer of the Dutch streets in The Netherlands.
Nederlands: Straatfotografie in Nederland is een fotografiegenre waarbij mensen op publieke plaatsen in Nederland gefotografeerd worden zonder dat zij zich daar bewust van zijn. Het is een kunstzinnige vorm van candidcamerafotografie die natuurlijke in plaats van geposeerde foto's oplevert. NB Essentieel voor straatfotografie is dus dat er mensen op de foto's staan, in natuurlijke houdingen.
