Stonedown Wood, lies 3km north of Sixpenny Handley, Dorset although it is acutally sited in the parish of Broadchalke, Wiltshire in the Cranborne Chase and West Wilts Downs Area of Outstanding Beauty The wood is 109 ha (269 acres), mostly mixed deciduous but with an area of conifers. These woodlands are owned and managed by the Forestry Commission.
