English: Stockbridge Indians, a historical term for Munsee-speaking Mahican people, many of whom converted to Christianity (Moravian Indians) in the 1700s. Historically, they occupied the Housatonic Valley in western Masssachusetts and New York state. They are the ancestors of the Stockbridge-Munsee Band of Mohican Indians.
