Our Lady of Consolation. Sculptor John Francis Kavanagh. Outside Our Lady Queen of Heaven Church, Frimley, Surrey. The statue original stood above the entrance of the Catholic Hospital on Lambeth Road, London. The hospital was for the nurses belonging to the order of Our Lady of Consolation. It was commissioned in about 1940 when the hospital was being rebuilt after bombing. The hospital closed in 1984 and the statue was moved to their convent in Frimley, Surrey. The convent closed and the statue now stands outside the church on the Portsmouth Road
