- Kálmán Kandó by Károly Antal (1967 limestone statue). Standing people hold in one hand papers?plans? under other hand a toy size locomotice (Kandó loco??). Kálmán Kandó (1869-1931) was a Hungarian engineer, the first user of high-voltage three-phase AC traction in locomotives, and the developer of the phase changer. The life-size statue on the square in front of the Tisza Railway Station in Miskolc commemorates the pioneer of railway electrification. The unveiling of the statue took place on the occasion of the completion of the electrification of a 523-kilometer-long, transversal railway main line between hegyeshalom and Záhony, the western and eastern gates of the country, during the railway electrification program. - Kandó Kálmán Square, Miskolc, Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County, Hungary.
