Stations of the Cross by Darlington, at St Wilfrid's, Harrogate, a bas relief in painted plaster, was created at some time between 1914 and 1917 by sculptor Frances Darlington (1880–1940).(Source: Record archive of St Wilfrid's Church).

Note from uploader: Regarding my own uploads only. These are 3D objects, with the figures projecting up to an inch proud of the background area. However, bas relief photographs in an unlit church require side-lighting and non-flash photos to reveal the 3D element - and I had no assistant to hold the torch. So I took every photograph with the torch in my extended left hand (which failed to reveal the 3D element) and the camera in the right hand (yes, a challenge). So in most pictures you cannot see the bas relief. Therefore, I have had to add an extra licence to every filepage, in cover any potential future misunderstanding that it might be a 2D image. Thank you for your understanding. Storye book (talk) 14:41, 21 May 2024 (UTC)
