English: The wooden clipper Star of Peace was built 1855 in Aberdeen by Walter Hood & Co. for Aberdeen White Star Line (George Thompson & Co). Dimensions: length 216' x breadth 35 5/6' x depth 22 3/6'. Gross tonnage 1113 tons. The ship had in the following years many different owners and was usually traveling between England and Australia or China. In 1874 the ship rigged to barque. Later converted to a hulk at Thursday Island and broken up in 1895.[1].
