(Robert Louis was the creator of almost all stamps in the 1940s/1950s with heraldic motives from France and areas of French influence with own postal souvereignty. Direct co-workers as engravers of the stamps designed by him were Jules Piel (in the years 1944-1961) and André Barre (in the years 1961-1965). He worked mostly for the "Poste française - Imprimerie des timbres-poste de France" and designed also banknotes.)
