The St Wilfrid's Procession, Ripon, is a traditional, annual procession in Ripon, North Yorkshire, England. The tradition was originally a religious procession of Saint Wilfrid, and is said to have begun in 1108 AD when the city received its charter. The tradition fell into disuse, and was revived as a secular carnival procession in the 1950s. It nevertheless commemorates Wilfrid, who was abbot of Ripon Monastery and Archbishop of Canterbury in the 7th century.

The procession begins just outside the city centre, winds around town, several times passing the market square where the crowds are, then finishes up at the cathedral, where the horse walks up the cathedral steps (but does not go in). The procession is met there by the cathedral choir, some clergy, and the mayor. For more information, see:
