St Maughold Pillar Cross, also known as St Maughold Parish Cross, dates from around 1300. Before 1937 it stood outside the church gates; since 1989 it stands in the church. The pillar cross holds a shield bearing the symbol of the three legs of Man, and is the oldest stone carved example of the triskelion symbol on the Isle of Man.
