English: The church was built circa 1860 and was originally part of the parish of Tinryland. Prior to the construction of this church, an old thatched church dating from 1700 was used. This church was built with granite from Graigalug. The artist, Frank O'Meara, is buried at a family tomb in the church's graveyard. The church contains 4 stained glass windows from the early 1900s in an 18th century style. The church was renovated in 1977, adding a new sacristy and re-ordering the sanctuary.
