English: St. Mary's Priory was founded in the 12th or 13th century as a dependency of the Schottenkloster in Regensburg and served to recruit monks from the Irish homeland for the Schottenklöster in Germany. This relationship was later moved to Würzburg und continued until the 16th century. The priory was dissolved in 1541.
